At the end of June I received a frantic email from Jen explaining how her dog Maya was very ill and might not be around much longer and that she would very much like a photography session for her. Without hesitation I was there in the next few days. This is a Part 1 post of a 2 Part series

In Their Words ….
I love to blog my client images and sharing in their words and how they love their beloved dogs …..Amaya
12.5 year old registered Shiba Inu.
We just call her Maya.
She is the Queen of the house and is quite serious about it.
She is not one for silliness or games but loves to go for walks.
She has a very serious, aloof presence but beneath all that she is very sensitive and sweet.
She was the cutest little puppy and she quickly bonded very closely with her Shiba Inu brother Meiko.
They are very close and love to amble along in the forest, side by side.
Sadly, she is not very well these days.
Her heart is weak but she is being her stubborn, tough self and not letting it slow her down too much.
We are cherishing every day we have with her.
Meiko her brother is a 13 year old registered Shiba Inu. Meiko is sweet and kind and patient. He looks after his girls, always happy to wash the faces and ears of his siblings (including the cat). He loves a very leisurely stroll through the park followed by a long nap in the sun.
